Some nifty tricks with Google Reader

So I’ve switched to Google Reader for news aggregation and for the most part love it dearly. One of the features I like the best is the fact that I can share my feeds as an Atom feed. I can do this for all my feeds or just for ones I’ve categorized a specific way. Here is an example of feed for all of my feeds I’ve tagged “Web 2.0″. Google Reader will also help you incorporate the feed into your site by generating a JavaScript that you can use. You can also email a link to a particular feed to people. This is a easier way to remix feeds you are reading for others. You can also create a feed of items you’ve starred. You can also share particular items by marking them as “Shared”. This creates an Atom feed of these items. Overall I like Google Reader although it sometimes flakes out on me when I have too many items to read (400+). I’m hoping that Google will continue to make improvements to it but right now it seems to have everything I need in a news aggregator.
