CSS Zen garden
I love this site. Every time I come here I find something new. I wish that I was this good at graphic design. For those of you who haven't visited the Zen garden, it basically is a showcase for CSS-based design (with a graphic design bent). The same content is displayed in a variety of ways using stylesheets. Currently, there are close to ninety designs from web designers around the world.
My current favorite is “Oceans Apart”. “Tulipe” is the page I am currently trying to take apart, because it scrolls left to right instead of top to bottom. One of the best things about the Zen garden is that you can look at the designer's CSS to see how things were accomplished.
I find this site a fabulous place to get ideas and inspiration. Particularly since I consider myself “graphic design challenged”. The designs on this site are not templates though so don't borrow submissions wholesale. Also, the graphics the designers use are copyrighted and therefore not up for grabs either.
Still, there is alot here to ooh and aah over and learn from. So enjoy the garden and maybe get inspired to submit your own design.
