Idea Seedlings
One of the most difficult things about being the most techie
librarian in your library is that you don't have many people to bounce
ideas off of. In particular I always struggle with coming up with ideas
for conference presentations. If you've seen my list of publication and
conference presentation for the last year you might wonder what I am
talking about. However, it really isn't until I start talking to
someone about stuff I am doing or thinking about that I can get ideas
into a useful form. Blogging helps quite a bit. However, sometimes I
just need to talk and ask someone else “how does that sound to you?”
Thankful, I have nice colleagues like the Travelin' Librarian who let me ramble at them and get me pointed in the right direction. Now I have some more solid presentation ideas for Internet Librarian.
