Neat iTunes tricks

I’m still getting a handle on how to do some things on my Mac. So I was really excited when I read a post from Sherri at Schwagbag about how to create smart playlists. This was really helpful because it allowed me to bring all my podcast feeds into one playlist to put on my iPod. The comments on this post contained another suggestion on how to get podcasts into a single playlist. Greg points out that in Windows iPodder gives all enclosures downloaded a grouping tag of “podcast” which can be used to sort them into a playlist as well. Unfortunately, this doesn’t seem to be the case in the Mac version. Greg also notes ways to group things so you only get the most recently downloaded items in the playlist. Very helpful if you are trying to get your iPod ready for the daily commute. I haven’t been able to replicate some of these tips yet, but they are a good starting point for getting my iPod ready for the car everyday.

Hi Karen! Smart playlists rule! I have a bunch set up to keep track of my newly added and favorite songs.
