Where did I go
Aug 23rd, 2005 by Karen
Some of my readers may be wondering where the heck it is that I have disappeared to the last month and a half or more. Well, I posted that I accepted a job at the University of Houston and that my husband and I would be moving to Texas. Since that time I worked feverishly to try to finish my work obligations at Cortland, pack and moved all my stuff, then took a little vacation to visit my family. Now at last I am settled (well as settled as one can be one when one moved into an apartment intending to buy a house ASAP) in the greater metro Houston area. I started my new job a week ago Monday. However, I still don’t have internet access at home. So… the posting and reading will be sparse until the broadband issue has been resolved. When I do get things working at home again, I intend on posting some back stuff from Cortland as well as some new stuff (especially pictures) of my new workplace.
In the meantime, a few short comment.
- Public libraries with free wi-fi rock! - This is the only reason I can post at all right now.
- Podcasts rock even more when you are taking the bus. Greg keep it up I’m almost caught up with all the stuff I missed while I had no internet.
- I love being in a busy library! - More on this later, but in short, the amount of traffic at the University of Houston Libraries is amazing and inspiring.

We are happy to have you here in H Town and I am glad you finally got connected to the world.
