Technical Difficulties

Note to people running ALA conference. Pretty please make sure the equipment works for your presenters. It makes life miserable both for them and attendees when the microphone, computer, etc don’t work properly. Either no one can hear or we are subjected to microphone screech. I’ve been to two presentations and both of them the tech was not necessarily great and things didn’t seem to be ready to go when the session was supposed to start. Honestly it makes me uneasy about every volunteering to speak at an ALA event, since I get nervous/stressed when I speak. My other conference experiences (particularly as a presenter) has been nothing but good. So I was a bit surprised that the first two things I attended here both had at least slight technical difficulties.
