Web-based diagram creation

Gliffy is a nifty tool that Loomware - Crafting New Libraries highlighted. I got pretty excited about this because I like to make diagrams for my staff to look at to show how I want systems they are building to work. Typically, I need to share the diagrams with not only my staff but the Libraries’ Web Management Committee. Everyone involved needed to not only see the diagram but contribute as well. Since the software is collaborative (ie multiple people can work on a diagram), it is perfect for this kind of collaborative application development. In the past I hasn’t found a good way to do this. I could upload charts I created to Basecamp but they weren’t edittable. So I ended up carting flip charts around because it worked best. However, next time I’m going to give Gliffy a shot.

I’ve been using Gliffy for a while and really like it. There’s a competitor out there called Cumulate Draw. It doesn’t have the features as Gliffy but doesn’t need Flash. I’ve just written a review at my blog. My blog is to uninstall ALL applications from my desktop and replace it with online tools. Check the review out at:
