Wireless Problems

This trip I’ve had my fair share of problems with wireless access. It seems to be everywhere in my room, at the conference center, and I have my choice of cafes with wireless. The problem is getting it to work. Today, I seem to be cursed. At the conference center I’ve had all sorts of problems getting on. Yesterday I had to call the tech support people for the wireless at the conference center to get a static IP address. DCHP just wouldn’t work. This morning I think too many people tried to get on and killed it. So I gave up and moved to a cafe with very fast wireless that I visited earlier in the week. Alas, this too failed. I suppose that I could try another spot since there are several cafes with wireless. However, with my luck well… I’m just going to take it as a sign that I shouldn’t be trying to get on the web but rather taking a nice walk in the sunshine.
I’ve finally got on the wireless! Which I’m sure you can figure out from reading this post :).
