Keeping Book Content Up To Date
May 21st, 2008 by Karen
You may or may not know that I’ve spent the better part of the last year working on a book entitled Library Blogging with Jason Griffey from University of Tennessee Chattanooga. Last week we got the page proofs to review. Looking at them reminded me that like most technology books though, the darn thing is out of date before it is published. It seems like every day blogging software changes (damn Wordpress 2.5) or I find something that I didn’t find in my research for the book. The nice thing is that Jason set us up a blog/website for the book. So we can post new things we find and make update to content. I’m already working on a bunch of things to post there related to the chapters I wrote. Right now the site has a Resources page which list the software, technologies, and blogs we discuss. We’ll be adding more stuff in the near future and try to keep everyone up to date on things like publication date, which we think at this point is mid-June.
