Thanks, this is helpful. Our library (Stony Brook University) is using drupal to develop a new library web space, and I've been scouring the lib & drupal geek blogospheres for tips and practices. As an aside, drupal 6.4 was a monster to install due to blorky autoloader absolute paths. The drupal support community is helpful, if decentralized. The solutions to the install problems were there, but not all together in a single place. Good open source software like drupal offers users and developers great opportunities for creating dynamic web spaces, assets, and excellent online platforms for supporting library services and events, but come with expanded responsibilities for troubleshooting and systems maintenance -- but you can't beat the price. We're also using WordPress for a branch library website.
