Off to ELAG

So this week I’m off to ELAG (European Library Automation Group) conference in Bratislava, Slovakia. My travel is being funded the US State Department’s Speaker and Specialist Program, which provides grants for experts in particular fields to travel to foreign countries to share their knowledge with others. So I’m giving a talk and teaching a workshop at ELAG on mashups in libraries. I’m pretty psyched about the whole thing. I’m praying that my demos work right because although I have screenshots they just don’t do things justice. Which has me wondering if I should have done a screencast. Too late for that now though b/c my Mac Air doesn’t have screencasting software installed, yet.

I’ve also never been to Bratislava so I’m pretty excited about that as well. Hope to get to see the castle and the Danube, try some beer, and local cuisine. All in all it should be a pretty good trip.
