Since Midwinter I’ve been thinking about a bunch of different ideas of how we can improved the web services we provide to our users. Many of the things I’ve been thinking about involve making it easier for library users to repurpose the content that libraries provide access to. It isn’t easy for people to find [...]

Today was an interesting day dealing with an issue we have been having with the Gale Group OneFile database. Apparently, OpenURL linking via SFX will only work properly if you are using Internet Explorer for a web browser. This collection contains almost 500 publically available titles. [...]

resolver to work with the SUNY instance of DSpace. The SUNY Office of
Library and Information Services has made about three hundred titles
from SUNY Press available to all the SUNY campuses via DSpace. In order
to link to these titles via our OpenURL [...]

RSS, Federated Search/Library Portal, and OpenURL. I've been asked to take part in a session presenting on how RSS might be used in conjunction with an OpenURL link server (SFX), and a federated search and library portal product (MetaLib). I'm putting my first ideas down here,… [Overdue Ideas]
This topic is fascinating! It would be rather [...]
